Loch Bar, a restaurant by Maryland-based hospitality company Atlas Restaurant Group, has opened at Boca Raton’s Mizner Park.
The eatery, at 346 Plaza Real, broke ground June 8 and opened Nov. 20. The 5,500-square-foot eatery seats 200 people and features a full bar, outdoor bar and a patio dining area. Open daily, its offerings include seafood, steaks, local crafts beers and handcrafted cocktails.
“Loch Bar takes its inspiration from old-time Maryland seafood restaurants, bringing an air of casual luxury to the enjoyment of fresh and flavorful seafood,” Atlas founder Alex Smith said.
The Boca Raton location marks the company’s first Loch Bar in the Sunshine State. The $50 million company also owns Ouzo Bay Greek Kouzina at 201 Plaza Real in Boca Raton.
Founded in 2014, Atlas now has eight restaurant brands. In addition to Loch Bar and Ouzo Bay, it also operates Harbor East Delicatessen Pizzeria, Azumi, Tagliata, Elk Room, Italian Disco and Bygone. It aims to open its ninth brand, Choptank, in Baltimore by May 2019. The company employs 600 workers nationwide.
Mizner Park is owned by Brookfield Properties Retail Group. It includes dining options, retailers and an iPic movie theater. Eateries include Tanzy, Max’s Grille, Villagio Restaurant & Bar, Le Macaron and IT’SUGAR.
