Tokyo-Underground Izakaya
Helmed by Atlas Concept Chef Timur Fazilov, known for his culinary excellence at Azumi in Baltimore and Houston, Kannon will feature a bold menu focused on handrolls, sashimi, nigiri, and crudo. Each dish will be prepared with the precision and artistry that guests have come to expect from Fazilov. Designed to complement and enhance the food menu’s diverse flavors, the beverage program will offer an array of handcrafted cocktails, Japanese sake and beers.
Designed by Patrick Sutton, Kannon will reflect a Tokyo-underground aesthetic with exposed wooden beams, brick walls, and stone elements that give the space an industrial yet inviting feel. Guests can look forward to a modern and comfortable environment where every detail, from the ambiance to the plating, captures the spirit of Japanese dining culture.
Marking an exciting chapter in the group’s ongoing commitment to elevating Baltimore’s dining experiences, Kannon is poised to become a signature destination for locals and visitors while bringing fresh, dynamic energy to the city.
Stay tuned for more updates as construction progresses and a grand opening date is announced for Spring 2025.
